My Planned Parenthood Post was Published! Please have a look.

Y’all remember how I wrote about doing a Planned Parenthood article and how I thought it got rejected? Well, I was wrong! March 28th I enlightened the world without even knowing it!  Think Ann Coulter if he had a brain aneurism and woke up a  liberal. Then you’ll have an idea of how this article was written. Though I don’t know, perhaps he already has some sort of malady.

  1. I agree with you Lisa, some of the legislation looks like it has tunnel vision. The issue is bigger than abortion and has bigger consequences too.
In an ideal world we would (or wouldn’t do many things) but none of us are perfect and don;t live in an ideal world.
It’s like the time of the puritan witch hunts, and with this distorted tunnel vision focus the consequences will in the end be just as unjust.

    • 🙂 You always speak the truth, Kiwi. Mind you, I’m no big fan of abortion, but I believe it’s a woman’s right to choose in the first trimester. But it’s so silly to cut funding that can’t be used for abortions. Some Planned Parenthoods don’t even offer abortions themselves.
      Thanks!

  2. Nice article Lisa. The question is are there other means of financing if the government backs out. For all the talk about cutting funding to NPR, the folks at NPR said they could survive without it.

    • Thanks so much 5! I have a few folks I think are deserving of the award. Will have to make a post and give it to some of my dear pals. Very, very kind of you to think of me!

  3. Excellent article. What the republicans want is for kids to be born, then go to work for corporations like the koch kartel, making millions for their masters, while slaving for peanuts. If you’ve ever read Atlas Shrugged, you know what I’m talking about.

      • Ditto on back. The book is looooonnnnnggggg, and a dry read, but fascinating in that it’s a microcosm of what the republicans are trying to do to the economy. Scary shit.

      • I’ve always marked it on my must have a read, but mainly due to that episode of South Park where the policeman learns to read and says Atlas Shrugged was the worst book ever.

  4. I remember that post and I love it! You did an amazing job satirizing one of the most despicable women on the planet. And Keith looks kind of hot with all that blond hair. Maybe we should send his resume and head shot to Fox?

  5. First, thanks for subscribing to my blog.
Secondly, your article made several good points without coming off as uber liberal or anti-conservative. It walked that fine line and made a solid point.
Abortion is such a sensitive topic, but I agree with you that it will become much more prevelant if Planned Parenthood is defunded.
I don't see this issue as a political one. I see it as a woman's issue. As a woman, I care about the health of others, and particulary, those who may not have access to quality healthcare or the support system they need to make healthy choices.
I'll leave it at that. Great post.
